ABOUT

AL BE POTTERY is the work of Ally Bruser, an artist, mom, and teacher, residing in South Bend, Washington, on the unceded territory of the Chinook Nation.

Many of my ceramics are handbuilt using ‘nerikomi’ techniques - the process of pressing and folding multiple colors of clay together then rolling them into slabs. Incorporating locally harvested wild clay causes variation that is both expected and celebrated.

When I am not making pottery, I am working towards making the arts and arts learning experiences more accessible in the small towns near where I live or hanging out with my 6-year old, probably painting or playing with mud.
